Beary Happy Holidays (2026)

The Louisville Zoo is hosting a month-long holiday celebration throughout December, with special programming on select weekends. Visitors will find the zoo transformed with festive decorations and activities designed to engage both families and the animals. A scavenger hunt runs throughout the month—families who complete at least half the challenges earn entry into a drawing for zoo-themed prizes. It's a great way to explore the grounds while celebrating the season together. On December 19 and 20, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., adding extra holiday cheer to your visit. The bears and other animals will enjoy special enrichment activities during three weekends (December 5–6, 12–13, and 19–20), giving kids a chance to see how the zoo celebrates with its residents. Best of all, the event is included free with regular zoo admission or membership, making it an affordable outing for the whole family.
