BugFest

Bring your family to celebrate the amazing insects that make our ecosystems thrive! BugFest offers a full day of hands-on exploration where kids can discover six- and eight-legged creatures through guided bug safaris, an interactive insect zoo featuring native species, nature discovery stations, and creative activities. There's also live music with Mr. Dan and a chance to show off your own bug costume in the Bug Parade at 1:30 p.m. This free event welcomes everyone, though a $15 suggested donation per vehicle is requested from non-members. Throughout the day, you'll find sign-up stations for the timed insect safaris, so families can explore at their own pace. Whether your kids are curious naturalists or a bit nervous around bugs, there's something here to spark wonder—and maybe even turn those creepy-crawly fears into fascination!
