DinoTrek at Nashville Zoo

DinoTrek at Nashville Zoo

Dinosaur-themed experience at Nashville Zoo.

Step back in time this summer at Nashville Zoo's DinoTrek, where your family can encounter nearly 50 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs along a scenic trail near the Historic Home. You'll come face-to-face with over 20 different species, including towering creatures like a 23-foot brachiosaurus and the mighty T-Rex. Some of these giants stand over 20 feet tall and weigh more than 5,000 pounds—this year's exhibit is the largest one yet. As you walk through, watch the dinosaurs hiss, spit, move, and roar, bringing the prehistoric age to life. DinoTrek requires a separate ticket beyond regular Zoo admission: $5 per person, with children under 2 admitted free. You can purchase tickets online, at Entry Village, or near the exhibit itself, and each ticket is valid for any date during the run. If your child benefits from a quieter experience, sensory-friendly sessions are offered from 9:00–10:00 a.m. on select dates (March 29, April 19, May 17, June 28, and July 19), featuring no movement or sound from the animatronics. A social story is available to help prepare younger visitors for their visit.
