ECO Kids Discovery Day

ECO Kids Discovery Day is part of a regular program called "Every Child Outside," designed to get children of all ages exploring and enjoying nature. These events happen on the first and third Saturdays each month (as long as weather cooperates), and this October session runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Visitor Center. Your family can expect several activities throughout the afternoon. Volunteer Naturalists will lead hands-on discovery stations where kids can learn about the natural world through interactive experiences. You'll also find pop-up story circles near the Visitor Center where children can listen to and share their own nature-inspired stories. If your family enjoys hiking, there's a guided nature walk led by a Bernheim staff member starting at 2 p.m., lasting about 45 to 60 minutes. A recommended donation of $15 per car applies for non-members, making this an affordable outdoor outing for families wanting to spark curiosity about the environment.
