First Sunday Nature Hike

Join a volunteer naturalist for a guided nature walk through the forest. These monthly hikes happen on the first Sunday and offer a more substantial outdoor experience than the shorter daily kids' hikes. The walk runs about 90 minutes, giving families time to explore trails, observe nature, and learn from an experienced guide. While designed primarily for adults, children ages six and older are welcome to join. This program is completely free to attend. Registration is required and must be completed by 4 p.m. the day before the hike—just call the Visitor Center to sign up. Please leave pets at home. Come prepared for a woodland adventure and ready to discover what the natural area has to offer during this time of year.
