Forest Homeschool Hike

This outing combines a focused nature lesson with a guided forest walk, making it perfect for families juggling homeschool schedules. The program explores food chains and predator-prey relationships—kids discover who eats what in the forest ecosystem—then head out on the trails to spot real examples of these concepts in action. It's designed specifically for elementary-age students (K–5) and homeschool groups. The hike runs about an hour and includes both classroom-style instruction and outdoor exploration. Admission is $4 for Bernheim members and $6 for non-members. You'll need to register ahead of time (by 4 p.m. the day before the program) by calling the education team or using their online form.
