Goatman Festival brings Kentucky's mysterious folklore to life across four days at Pope Lick Park, the legendary home of the Pope Lick Monster. You'll find seminars led by cryptid experts, live music, outdoor movies, local vendors, costume contests, and unusual competitions that appeal to paranormal enthusiasts and curious families alike. The whole experience is outdoors on natural terrain, with some activities happening after dark. Best of all, general admission and parking are completely free—no advance registration needed. If you want to go deeper, optional paid tickets unlock guided tours and themed haunted attractions inspired by local legends. Just plan ahead: wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes since you'll be on uneven ground. One important note: the historic railroad trestle nearby is active property and strictly off-limits to visitors.
