Hot Cocoa and a Fall Hike at the Bean House

Start your autumn afternoon with hot chocolate and cookies enjoyed from Bean House's front deck, where you'll take in views of the new wetlands and fall foliage. After refreshments, you have flexibility in how you spend the rest of your time. Choose from two hiking options: a moderately easy 1-mile route that loops past the old pond down to Harrison Creek and the wetlands, or a more challenging 1-mile trail that climbs to the hilltop behind Bean House. If hiking isn't your preference, you're welcome to simply relax at Bean House and soak in the autumn forest scenery. Wear hiking shoes or treaded footwear, as trails may be muddy. Those attempting the hill hike should bring a hiking stick. Kids and adults who enjoy outdoor exploration will find something here, whether they're ready for a full hike or prefer a gentler outing. Bernheim members pay $20; non-members are $25. You'll need to register by 4 p.m. the day before the program by calling (502) 215-7155. Pets are not permitted at this event.
