Let's Talk | Bridging the Divide: 35th Anniversary of the Affrilachian Poets with Frank X Walker

Join the Frazier Kentucky History Museum and The Louisville Review for an evening celebrating 35 years of the Affrilachian Poets, one of the country's longest-running African American writing collectives. Founding member Frank X Walker will share the group's history, followed by poetry readings from members of the collective. The event wraps up with a reception featuring refreshments and a book signing opportunity. The first 100 registered guests will receive a complimentary copy of The Louisville Review Number 99, a special issue honoring both the 35th anniversary of the Affrilachian Poets and the 50th anniversary of The Louisville Review. This is a wonderful opportunity for teens and adults interested in poetry, African American literature, and Kentucky's cultural heritage to experience live readings from accomplished writers and learn about an important local literary institution.
