Living History: We the People
Interactive theatrical experience bringing American history to life at Floyd County Carnegie Library.
Professional actors take the stage to explore the moments and movements that shaped America—from the Revolution and abolition efforts through the Civil Rights era to contemporary questions about free speech and social media. Using primary historical documents and engaging performances, this theatrical experience shows how the struggles and choices of the past connect directly to our lives today. You'll come away thinking about what citizenship means, what rights and responsibilities we all share, and how you and your family can contribute to your community.
This is a great outing for families who want to spark meaningful conversations about American history in a fresh, interactive way. The production celebrates America's 250th year and is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts. Best of all, admission is completely free, making it an accessible cultural experience for everyone in the New Albany area.
