Louisville Water Tower & WaterWorks Museum Tour

Your family can explore more than 165 years of Louisville's water history at this museum and historic site. Located in the city's original pumping stations, the WaterWorks Museum showcases vintage photographs, films, and artifacts going back to 1860. Kids and adults alike can see a massive steam engine up close and climb inside the Louisville Water Tower itself—the oldest ornamental water tower still standing in the entire country. Tours run from noon to 5 p.m., with the final tour departing at 4:30 p.m. Admission is affordable at $5 for ages 6 and up, $4 for seniors, and $3 for military visitors. You can purchase tickets at the door using a credit card. Just note that each adult (18+) will need to bring a valid driver's license or state ID, which staff will scan as part of their security process.
