Monarch Tagging

Monarch Tagging

Help tag monarch butterflies at Bernheim Arboretum—citizen science in action.

Join Bernheim's Research Coordinator and Volunteer Naturalists for a hands-on citizen science experience focused on monarch butterflies. During this hour-and-a-half program, you'll learn about monarch behavior while contributing real data that helps scientists track migration patterns and understand these remarkable insects better. It's a meaningful way to support both conservation efforts and scientific research. This activity works well for families interested in nature and wildlife. Admission is $10 for Bernheim members and $15 for non-members. You'll need to register by 4 p.m. the day before the program by calling (502) 215-7155 or using the online registration option. Please note that pets are not permitted. Come prepared to spend time outdoors observing and learning alongside experienced naturalists.
