Nature (+)2: Bookmaking from Scratch

Working with artist Christina Clifford, participants complete a two-part hands-on workshop exploring the art of bookmaking. This session—the second Saturday—focuses on bringing your handmade journal to completion. You'll stitch together your paper cover and pages using a traditional pamphlet stitch binding technique, then finish the workshop by sketching or writing in your new journal outdoors. This workshop pairs perfectly with the first session (held the week prior), where participants created their decorated paper covers through the papermaking process. However, if you attended that initial class, you'll be ready to go. No prior bookmaking or papermaking experience is needed—just curiosity and an appreciation for nature.
