Nature (+)2: Bookmaking from Scratch

Join artist Christina Clifford for a two-part hands-on workshop where you'll learn to make paper from scratch and transform it into your own nature journal or sketchbook. On the first Saturday, you'll create the journal's cover by making pulp, pulling sheets by hand, and decorating them with collected leaves, flowers, and stones. The second session focuses on assembly, where you'll stitch everything together using a traditional bookbinding technique. The workshop wraps up with time to sketch or write in your finished journal outdoors. No prior experience needed—just bring curiosity and enthusiasm for nature. Christina Clifford is an accomplished printmaker and visual arts educator with over 20 years of experience. Cost is $75 for Bernheim members and $90 for non-members.
