Open Play Friday: Bakery Dramatic Play

Your child will dive into imaginative, child-led play at Open Play Friday, a weekly program held at the Cultural Arts Center. During the bakery-themed session, kids take on roles like bakers, cashiers, customers, and delivery workers, using their creativity to run a pretend shop complete with treats, menus, and play money. This hands-on experience builds important skills including communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and turn-taking while sneaking in early math and literacy practice. These sessions happen every Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM and are completely free to attend. A new theme rotates in each week, so there's always something fresh to explore. It's a great fit for children who love imaginative play and learn best through doing rather than sitting still.
