Interactive performance art event at America Place in Jeffersonville, 6–8:30 PM.
Spend a festive evening celebrating America's 250th anniversary with free live music and family fun. The Louisville Orchestra, led by conductor Teddy Abrams, will perform a mix of classical favorites and playful surprises—from the national anthem and Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 to a heavy metal version of Grieg and John Williams' Star Wars theme. The concert runs from 8:30 to 10:00 p.m., giving you plenty of time to enjoy the earlier hours.
Before the concert, arrive starting at 6:00 p.m. to explore the Family Field with activities like balloon creations, bounce houses, face painting, and crafts. You'll also find several local food trucks on site, including Kona Ice, Lil Cheezers, Big Moes BBQ, Spinelli's, and others, with food and drinks available for purchase. This is completely free to attend—no tickets required, though registration is recommended to get updates about parking and details. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets, enjoy the free parking, and leave pets at home. There's no raincheck if weather impacts the event.
