Tree and Shrub Hike

Join a guided exploration of Indiana's trees and shrubs at Falls of the Ohio State Park. A retired forester will lead your family through a two-hour hike, pointing out both native and nonnative species and explaining how they thrive in the riparian habitat along the river. You'll discover what makes certain specimens stand out and learn about their ecological role in the local environment. The hike meets at the Observation Deck and Picnic area, so it's easy to find. Best of all, the program itself is completely free—you'll only need to pay a $2 parking fee to enjoy the experience.
